Moris Media is currently hiring for a Legal Advisor in Norway. This role is essential for providing expert legal guidance and representation to celebrities in the entertainment industry, addressing a variety of legal matters that impact their careers. The Legal Advisor will be responsible for advising clients on issues related to contracts, copyrights, trademarks, and licensing agreements, ensuring their interests are protected. This position involves negotiating and drafting a range of contracts, including those for film, television, endorsements, and performances, while safeguarding the intellectual property rights of clients.

The Legal Advisor will also handle legal concerns stemming from media engagements, public appearances, and interviews, providing essential guidance on privacy and defamation matters to uphold and protect the clients’ reputations. In addition, the advisor will represent celebrities in legal disputes, such as contract disputes and defamation cases, working collaboratively with agents, managers, and publicists to ensure compliance with legal standards.

Candidates should possess a robust knowledge of entertainment law, strong negotiation and drafting skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly. They must be adept at analytical thinking and problem-solving to navigate intricate legal challenges while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in contract reviews.   • Provide expert legal advice to celebrities regarding various aspects of their careers, including contracts, copyrights, trademarks, and licensing agreements.
  • Negotiate, draft, and review contracts related to film, television, endorsements, and performances, ensuring favorable terms for clients.
  • Safeguard clients' intellectual property rights by addressing issues related to copyright infringement and unauthorized use of their likeness.
  • Offer legal guidance on media engagements, public appearances, and interviews to mitigate potential legal risks and protect clients’ reputations.
  • Assist clients with privacy and defamation matters, providing strategies to uphold their public image and manage any legal challenges.
  • Represent clients in legal disputes, including contract disputes, defamation cases, and breach of privacy claims, effectively advocating for their interests.
  • Collaborate with agents, managers, and publicists to ensure all legal compliance and protection of clients’ rights throughout their career engagements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on entertainment law, including recent developments and industry best practices.
  • Draft and review legal notices, agreements, and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) to ensure clarity and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal documents, correspondence, and case files related to clients.
  • Provide clients with clear and concise explanations of complex legal concepts, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Monitor ongoing legal developments and trends within the entertainment industry, advising clients on how these may impact their careers.
