Moris Media seeks a skilled and passionate Video Editor to elevate the visual storytelling of our dynamic moCal brand. You'll play a vital role in shaping how our brand is perceived, transforming raw footage into polished and engaging video content that captivates our audience across various platforms. From promotional videos and social media clips to short-form documentaries and event recaps, you'll bring your technical expertise and creative flair to every project.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our content, marketing, and creative teams to understand campaign goals and translate them into impactful videos. Your ability to select compelling shots, seamlessly weave together narratives, incorporate music and sound effects, and utilize color grading and motion graphics will enhance the overall viewer experience.

  • Transforming Raw Footage: Assemble, cut, trim, and arrange raw footage to create compelling video sequences.
  • Visual Storytelling: Apply pacing, transitions, and editing techniques to craft visually engaging narratives that align with the moCal brand voice.
  • Sound Design: Incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the emotional impact and production value.
  • Color Correction & Grading: Ensure color consistency, adjust exposure, and apply stylized color grading for visual appeal and mood.
  • Motion Graphics: Integrate motion graphics, titles, and basic animation to elevate storytelling and branding.
  • Subtitles & Captions: Add subtitles or captions for accessibility and broader reach.
  • Revisions & Feedback: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to ensure final videos meet expectations.
  • Project Management: Manage editing timelines, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear communication with project teams.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in video editing software and techniques.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all video content adheres to the moCal brand's visual style and messaging.

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Film/Video Production, Media Communications, or a related field.
    • Strong portfolio of work showcasing technical skills and creative vision.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred:
    • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
    • Experience in video filming or directing.
    • Understanding of marketing and social media content strategies.

Experience: 2-7 years of professional video editing experience
